Coal Point: UNDER CONSTRUCTION

This new single dwelling was designed and constructed for a couple relocating from Sydney to Lake Macquarie. The property sits directly on Lake Macquarie with water views to the west and a northern aspect.

The ‘L’ shape plan was designed to create a protected north facing courtyard, out of the strong westerly winds. The wrap around decks were designed to provide a continuous connection to the outside and gardens.

Our clients expressed an interest in Mid-Century Modern design which influenced the design of the home. This resulted in a butterfly style roof, with low pitch skillion roofs and carefully considered window placements. The internals feature a mix of vibrant colours and natural timbers throughout to create a calm coastal aesthetic.
